I’ve been mentioning the World Dog Show for a few days now, but I haven’t yet shown a general selection of my own images taken there, apart from the few I’ve already posted. So here goes.
The World Dog Show draws hundreds of dogs (or should I say dog-owners) as entrants. It goes on quite long and is actually quite chaotic and demanding to cover as a photographer.
The organiser’s website only deigned to publish a rough timetable of events, and although the final programme of the last day began at three o’clock we had at that stage got used to the format that the prize presentations took place much later, even five or six hours later. But of course we had to wait for it, the most important part of the Best in Show competition. As had the dogs and their owners, not always patiently, in the sidelines. Oh and did I mention there were a lot of photographers and a lot of pushing…
