We rarely think about how much moral of a story can a movie deliver even regarding copyright what I often mention on this blog. It is worth checking out the new Savint Mr. Banks movie with this (too) in mind.
I didn’t yet see the movie but a fellow Hungarian blogger Dr. Peter Mezei a copyright expert published his interesting thoughts on the Copyright in the 21st century blog (in Hungarian only).
He points out the movie is about the background story making the movie adaptation of the Mary Poppins story. In short Disney studios wanted to acquire copyrights to film it, but the author and Walt Disney had quite a few disagreements that you can watch on the silver screen and some of them involved legal issues as well.
What do you think about the movie and its copyright aspects?
