Many of my female friends don’t like the masculine folk tradition of Easter waterings that is mandatory part of the festive in Hungary. I think it is important to tell on Easter Monday I too get watered – I hope not to wither without this celebrartion this year!

Police officer draws weapon for a camera

tense argument because of a camera in the US

Hungarion version

Video frame by News2share

A San Diegoi police officer unholstered his gun because he was unable to decide if a camera or weapon is aimed at him by a cameraman. The frighetned photographer resisted to put  down the camera, but in the end the conflict ended without gunshot.
US sites mostly shared this story as an example for the restriction of photographers’ rights, abuse and police brutality. However it is also a very important to think about how you communicate with officials.

During the operations I made a time-lapse video to show you how the rescue happened. The time-lapse below shows the nearly 10 hours long process in only 1 minute.Yesterday along the rest of Hungarian and international media I photographed the recovery of the passenger boat Mermaid that suffered a tragic accident in Budapest on river Danube almost two weeks ago.
