Like the website of the prize and many of Hungarian news media riport an 8 member team of Reuters with their coverage of the migration crisis stretching through Europe.
The prize was won by the eight photographers together for their joint effort including two of my Hungarian colleagues Laszlo Balogh and Bernadett Szabo. The other members of the team are Yannis Behrakis. Michael Dalder, Stoyan Nenov, Alexandros Avramidis, Alkis Konstantinidis and Srdjan Zivulovic.
Hungarian Press Photo Comtest’s results were announced today. There are a lot of winners who were awarded in recent years as well, but this time there were four time as many freelancers among them as were the last year.

The results of this year’s World Press Photo contest have just been announced, and as always there is no shortage of photos bursting with violence. There are some, albeit not that many, examples of beautiful and thought provoking photos too.
The world famous war photographer known as Robert Capa was born on 22nd October in 1913 in Budapest, Hungary. His original name was André Endre Friedmann until he fled his homeland in the wake of the Second World War related posts on the blog which brought him the fame and success.
