The server running my blog appeared to have had some sort of malfunction in recent days. Thankfully the technical error was overcome. Unfortunately at the moment the server is running a bit slower than usual – but at least it’s working and is still faster than the defunct controller was allowing to be. Credit and thanks are due to the specialists who were able to solve the problem quickly even without the right parts at hand.
A Danish news TV programme recently used a screenshot from a computer game as a Syrian backdrop for their report on the conflict. The rather embarrassing mistake forced the TV2 broadcaster to issue an apology afterwards.
Another problem has been discovered with the newest generation of the GoPro action cameras. They fry the 64 GB MicroSD cards, not only erasing all material contained on them but also rendering the cards totally useless. Better brand cards do get replaced in warranty but that’s more consolation, not solution.
Recently I came across an interesting firmware error when I took for a test run one of the latest Hero3 Black models in the popular GoPro camera line. It’s not a serious problem, but when met for the first time expect your eyebrows to rise!
